Update & statement on Societies progress & plans.
How do you start off something that is new and never been done before?
You build the foundations, and by the time you've finished you hope you have got a solid building at the end, which will stand the test of time.
If you are a Golfer & support Leeds United, you will be interested in this concept.
Its not too complicated really, for those who are not members of clubs & want some affordable golf on some of the areas finest courses.
If you want a chance to win great prizes, under the flag of Leeds United, YOU are in the right place.
Many well known people in Leeds United circles & beyond have already enjoyed playing in our events. You could perhaps bump or indeed end up playing with the likes of Norman Hunter, Peter Lorimer, Eddie Gray, Adam Pope, Dominic Bott, Clarke Carlisle, Andy Couzens, Ross McCormack, The Pigeon Detectives, and even, this early in our history, we saw Razor Ruddock & Paul Jewell play In Dom Matteos Golf day.Colin Montgomerie has pledged to one day play in one of our golf days and has accepted the position of Society President.

The long term aim of the Society and summing up.
We aim to increase competitions to play in, in and around the Leeds and Yorkshire area:
- Entry no more than £20/ £25 per event, non members can enter but there will be an extra cost.
- Pick and choose where and when you play.
- Obtain an official Golf Handicap, without being a member of a club
- Winners of each event to play in a grand final at the end of the year.
- Every golf club, bar none we have spoken to, wants to get behind and involved in the concept, as you can imagine, its a lot of planning, organisation, and the website we are developing is crucial.
Website
The website is going to be a fantastic resource for our members and golf courses alike, we expect the website to be live in the next 10 days to 2 weeks.
Once the website is 'live' you will be able to enter our events directly and join the Society.
Ideas and suggestions always welcome
